All club subcommittee’s are open to club members to join.  Subcommittee’s develop member’s understanding of how the club operates and develop pathways for subcommittee members to become general committee and club office bearers of the future.

From time to time, club subcommittee’s require additional members to ensure their efficient operation. The club are current seeking members for the following subcommittee opportunities:

Golf Promotions
(3 Positions)

The club is seeking the services of three club members to contribute their time to a five-member subcommittee to manage the club’s golf promotions.

This subcommittee is responsible to provide guidance to the general committee to increase the participation of the club in the follow areas:

  • Female Participation
  • Beginner Participation
  • Community Coaching
  • Opportunities for Member Coaching
  • Group Bookings
  • Social Club Bookings

Previous experience in adminstration, running junior sport, organising events or participation in social / sporting clubs of any kind would be highly desirable. 

Occupational Health & Safety – NEW
(5 Positions)

The club is seeking the services of five club members to contribute their time to a new six member subcommittee to manage the club’s occupational health and safety obligations. This subcommittee is chaired by the Club Vice President.

This subcommittee is responsible to oversee the management and delivery of the Club’s Safety Action Plan and maintain a safe workplace for our staff and volunteers. This subcommittee will provide advice and direction to the General Committee to develop documents, safe systems of work, registers, policies and procedures to ensure the club’s statutory obligations to its staff and volunteers are met.

Previous business, workplace safety managment, administration or participation developing policies at sporting clubs of any kind would be highly desirable.

Course & Environment – NEW
(5 Positions)

The club is seeking the services of five club members to contribute their time to a new six member subcommittee to manage the golf course and environment. To reduce the workload on the Green’s subcommittee, this new subcommittee has been established to enable a group to focus on the management of all vegetation, paths, course furniture and general amenity of the course as per the Club Strategic Goals. This subcommittee is chaired by the Club President.

Previous environmental, landcare, water management, weed management, landscaping or strong interest in golf course architecture would be highly desirable.

Advertising & Sponsorship
(4 Positions)

The club is seeking the services of four club members to contribute their time to a five-member subcommittee to manage the club’s annual sponsorship and advertising networks.

This subcommittee is responsible to manage relationships with our generous club supporter, sponsors and advertisers through verbal, written and personal interactions at various times across the year.  This subcommittee annually conducts a “Sponsors Appreciation Day” at the Club as well as prepares mailout promotions to offer to sponsors and supporters.  This subcommittee will schedule and approve the mailout of communications and track both revenue and expenditure budgets they have been delegated and report back to the general committee on a quarterly basis.

Previous experience in business, advertising, customer service, sales or marketing would be highly desirable. 

Finance, Audit & Risk
(2 Positions)

The club is seeking the services of two club members to contribute their time to a five member subcommittee to manage the club’s finances, risk and audit statutory aspects of the club’s operation. This subcommittee is chaired by the Club Treasurer.

This subcommittee is responsible to oversee the management the employer relationships, audit of the clubs accounting and finance operations, manage corporate activities like insurance, health & safety and business risks.  This subcommittee will assist the club treasurer in the preparation of the annual budget, compilation for financial results, review of the five year capital expenditure plan and report back to the general committee on a quarterly basis.

Previous business, managerial skills or financial experience would be highly desirable.
